Invincible in Battle

Who is the King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty; the Lord, invincible in battle.
Psalm 24:8 (NLT)

Dear Ones: Invincible in Battle! That is the Lord of Glory. The Lord Jesus took on death and hell by going through the veil of death to defeat it and the evil one forever. When we look past the outward horror of the cruelty of the Cross there is a tremendous story of a Warrior KING doing what no other could do. As the Son of Man and God’s Champion, the Lord Jesus demonstrated the ultimate power of the Kingdom of God over this age of darkness and the great deceiver of men.

He carried the sins of the world into the depth of hell and deposited them there for eternity. Those were not His sins; He was just the burden bearer to carry them. By this act He cleaned the slate of anyone who would accept His sacrifice: He gave His life for ours. Now it is no longer we who live but Christ who lives in us. Our sins have been taken out of the way along with all the consequences of the fall (including sickness and diseases).

During this Holy Week think about these things. Christ, the Lord of Glory, invincible in battle fought death and hell and won freedom and liberty for all who call Him Lord. In addition, He has enabled us to partake of His warrior nature so that we can prevail against the attacks of darkness in our own sphere of influence. He is our Champion and our Savior. Let us be emboldened by His great courage.

May you come to realize that in Him you are to be invincible in battle against all that contends with you today. Rejoice in His victory; be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. You are an overcomer in Him. Begin to think like a Warrior for it is in your spiritual DNA. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
