3 All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. 4 He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Dear Ones: He Comforts Us! Yes, that is a specialty of our loving Father God. During wilderness times we learn about the unsearchable depth of His love and comfort. Then we are to comfort others when they go through their troubles. This is how the Body of Christ is to function and care for one another.
Paul used the example of the human body when he taught about the Church. Everyone has a place, and everyone is needed so that we can function the way the Lord intended. The natural eye is very attractive and needed. But we can live with one eye. However, we cannot live without a healthy functioning liver. The liver is not as attractive as the eye, but it is essential to life.
The Body of Christ, although a spiritual organism, functions like a natural body. Each part of the Body is needed for the spiritual and physical health of the whole. Our comforting Father created us with the capacity to love and to comfort one another. The Lord Jesus is our great example. When we look at the Cross we come to realize the great worth and value that the Father has place on every human life. The high price paid cost the Lord Jesus His life: every drop of His blood poured out for us.
May the words, “He comforts us,” bring peace to your soul today. Relax and experience His tender loving care as He pours in the healing balm of His Word into your wounded areas. It is a good day to partake of His comfort. And then share it with others. You are an overcomer. I bless you in Jesus’ name.
